Me in a Photo

So this photo came about a few years ago when I shot my first solo drum cover video, which started a series.

It was my answer to being caged by lockdown. Covering ‘Wild Heart’ by Joy Moore, I took my drums out to this quiet location and spent a few hours filming all the different camera angles for the video. Then using sound gear borrowed from a friend, I recorded the drums separately from home.

The Photo

Despite the cold and the strong wind, this day unlocked some extra creativity. Just as I was about to pack up, I had an idea to capture a photo that represented me and my main passions.
