Perspective
from above

I originally broke into the drone world to support my own media productions as a photographer and videographer. At the time I was commissioned to capture media for a Developer and saw the need to capture video and photography with a drone so decided to make the jump.

From there, I found a lot of enjoyment in using the drone in my productions including capturing property, real estate, aeroplanes, cars and landscapes.

This has brought me to offer separate drone services from my productions whether it’s freelancing for a production company, contributing to promotional content or capturing details for surveyors.

Process

1. Preparation

We need to check the filming location and take off location, asses the risk and generate Risk Assessment. A site visit may be necessary.

If there are any specific shot requirements, these will be discussed and assessed to see if it’s possible to excite these legally and safely.

It may be decided that a spotter is needed.

2. Pre-Shoot

The day before the shoot, we will determine if the weather impacts the flight and check whether there are any flights planned that will impact the day’s plans.

3. Shoot Day

The morning of the shoot, we check for any available information regarding the flights and double check the weather forecast.

The day will be conducted in line with the Official CAA Drone Code, which is the Civil Aviation Authorities Code of Conduct.

4. Delivery

The standard delivery method is a link to an Online Gallery where you can download photos and videos. This is available for 2 months to give you time to download and store the data.

In specific circumstances RAW card data can be transferred in an agreed method.
